Love for Horses - Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen's Stable

Following the Sunna of Prophet Mohammad - Maintaining a Stable for Allah's Pleasure

Islam honours horses and raising these noble creatures has been encouraged by Saints and perfect Fakirs. In the Quran, Allah has sworn upon horses in sura Al-Adiyat. Several Hadiths offer profound insight into the significance of keeping horses.

Due to the abundance of Hadiths emphasising the honour of horses and serving them, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen holds a deep affection for these noble creatures. Soon after Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and Masjid-e-Zahra were established, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, in line with the Sunna of Prophet Mohammad, decided to maintain a stable of horses.

وَ الۡعٰدِیٰتِ ضَبۡحًا ﴿﴾ فَالۡمُوۡرِیٰتِ قَدۡحًا ﴿﴾ (2۔1:100)
"Swear by the charging horses that gallop (in the battlefield) and pant. And those that produce sparks striking their hoofs on rocks." (100:1-2)

"The one who spends on a horse for the sake of Allah is like a person who extends his hands for charity and does not hold back."
Prophet Mohammad Musnad Ahmad-ibn-Hanbal
🌟
"Goodness is associated with the forehead of the horses until the Day of Judgement. So, if a person keeps a horse for the cause of Allah and spends on it with the intention of earning reward from Allah, then the horse's eating or being hungry, drinking or being thirsty, and even its urine will be the source of that person's success on the Day of Judgement."
Prophet Mohammad Musnad Ahmad-ibn-Hanbal
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen's Stable & Care

Arab nobles and tribal chiefs used to personally serve and honour horses. They did not delegate these tasks to servants or slaves. The wise among the Arabs used to say that there is no shame for the tribal chief and noble in performing three tasks i.e. serving his father, guest and a horse.

🏇
"The honour of gifting the very first horse to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen belongs to two extremely devoted disciples, Hasan Raza and Ahsan Raza, who are twin brothers. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen named the horse 'Atlas'. He chose this name with utmost reverence and in memory of his beloved spiritual guide, Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali."
